Deuce Golf is changing the game.
D

The demand for golf is at its highest of highs during the past year. New golfers are hitting the course daily during an unprecedented time in the world. In today’s world, new golfers aren’t those of the past. They aren’t interested in dressing like the PGA pros, nor do they look like the occasional golfer. Golf’s style is a beautiful evolution, style is about expressing yourself in your way, on your terms. One brand that is doing it its way is Deuce Premium Golf. Deuce is making golf accessories for those who want to feel and look good. Founded by Ty DeLavallade in Orlando, Florida is changing the game. Not only through Deuce, but for minority youth golfers in his city,

Ty has been in the golf industry for 12 years before starting Deuce in November 2019, On a call with other African-American golfers around the country, the idea came to life. Ty states, “I was on a Zoom call and asked the question, Do we know anyone who is African-American who is in the golf e-commerce business..? Two of five could only answer the question.”

Deuce Golf wants to be different from other golf apparel/accessories companies. “I was up to five in the morning researching manufactures… I wanted to design a glove as good if not better than what is out there.” Ty states. Deuce offers not your typical accessories, from cigar pouches to Moroccan travel bags. Their growth has been rapid during the last 16 months, going from Facebook group sales, e-commerce website, to PGA Superstore,

We hear the saying “Grow the Game” overall the last year, but at times it feels like POC and underrepresented golfers aren’t being heard. Ty doesn’t just agree with growing the game, he’s taking action. “I launched a non-profit, United Golfers Association (UGA) the first black golf association started in 1925, to allow black folks to play competitively and socially.”

Ty wants to help create and develop the next generation of POC golfers, “How do we do a better job of introducing them to the sport, how do we develop them to be elite players and work PGA, USGA, AJGA…”

Deuce is more than hats, gloves, belts, but a brand that continues to push golf forward. “For Deuce, by the fall next season, we going to see more mini-tour players as Deuce ambassadors.”

Deuce will be in PGA Superstores in mid-June and will launch a new collection of accessories in the summer.
