Olea. Cellar, Craft, Cook. Newport Beach.
O

We are thrilled to be a part of Dine Newport Beach’s series, Culinary Journeys, where we explore and give viewers an in-depth look at the behind the scenes of how they craft unique experiences for their customers. Featuring our fabulous host, Melissa Jacobi, whose friendly, yet knowledgeable presentation, makes for the compelling footage! Olea is one of the newest establishment in Costa Mesa’s 17th street, which is experiencing a renaissance, with a variety of restaurants, shops, and businesses which are transforming what was previously, a relatively underwhelming area, to a thriving corridor that is attracting a young and hip crowd.

Olea is the brainchild of Orange County-based restaurateur Russ Bendel (owner and of well-reviewed Vine and Ironwood restaurants in Newport Beach) and is named after trees that flourish in warm and tropical regions and is a European twist on the Napa/Sonoma-inspired cuisine that is featured at Vine.

Under its mantra of Cellar. Craft. Cook., it helps to redefine the American bistro experience and brings a warmth and welcome atmosphere to this friendly and welcoming establishment.

We came, ate, filmed, interviewed, and generally had a great time, thanks to our gracious host!
